Hello and as a caveat, I'm extremely new but I'm loving it. Basically I'm looking to become a signaller and would like to experience the signalling for as close to reality as possible. Do you work with ARS on? Or is it dependent on the Sim? Because I am currently using the Aston Sim with ARS on and it seems like I don't do much until a train wants to transit the absolute block system. Just wondered whether ARS off/on would give the more realistic experience? Thank you in advance. Log in to reply |

Disclaimer: I am not a real life signaller. Some boxes have ARS, some donʼt. SimSig ARS usually tries to imitate the real life ARS as closely as it can. Iʼm not certain, but I believe that ARS is normally used where it is available, but can be turned off if it causes problems. Think of ARS as a tool to help you. Like any other tool, use it to your advantage. Donʼt be afraid to let ARS handle the easy bits to help you out, but also donʼt be afraid to turn it off if it is getting in your way.
