Hello all, A long shot but is there any information at all on West Midlands Trains diagrams for the 1st January 2024? I'm hoping (providing I can get rid of this cold!) to drive up to Redditch tomorrow and get a 323 to Birmingham and should be able to observe some diagrams, but I won't be seeing everthing, such as the 350's that will be terminating at Birmingham International, though I'm already guessing that a majority, if not all, will be at least 8 car 350's. Walsall I understand are not 323's anymore, though all Redditch/Bromsgrove's will be, and Hereford's aren't starting until later in the day but these should be 196's? If not just any local observations or general assumptions will be fine, last time I was at New Street there was still 150's running to Hereford, so I'm a bit out of touch nowadays! Log in to reply |

There is a blockade of Worcester Tunnel Junction until 1600hrs to tandem stone blow the points, hence the Herefords starting later. Might still see a 172 or a 196 on them when they do run. All CrossCity will be either 3/323 or 6/323 but I believe it is rare to see a 323 anywhere else in the Midlands now. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Underwood |

Thank you! I see it was buses around Bromsgrove until 1600 wasn't sure why but I see now, First unit I saw pull in from Tyseley to work Hereford was a 3 car 196. Cross City South (North closed for engineering) was all 6 car 323's, not that there was any short as Soho was rammed with 323's, not surprising Did a trip out to Birmingham International on the Aston diversion, class 390s were absolutely rammed, hourly service and also ferrying West Midland Railway passengers to International to get the Euston 350 service from there Log in to reply |
