Marylebone going feels like a wasted opportunity to create a really interesting sim era with CBTC simulated on the Metropolitan line with blue signals for that. Even getting it to a point where East West Rail could be simulated in a timetable would be nice given the current 2016 era wouldn't allow that. Still gutted about this.

Nothing is "going", it's just that there will not be any expectation of any support for what's already there. Updates is a completely different thing, there has never been any expectation of updates. They only happened because the developer wanted to do it.

Evening,

With Support Sadly ending on various sims shortly, could the developer's before support ends add Heavy Axle Weight Restrictions to the various sims this will aid game play and go some way in stopping heavy freight trains arriving at various locations early owing to no reduction in speed over those sections of lines. Could the attached RT3973's be added to the Tyneside, York North South, West Yorkshire, Leeds East/West and Aire Valley and Ardsley and Sheffield ROC sims.

Good Evening,

Unfortunately this would not be something that we would be looking to implement. It would involve quite extensive work to get right and overall the benefit is limited. If this is something you would like to include on your own games you could make use of the TSR function but this would be applied to all freight trains. You could then potentially share the saved games with others in the file library. Sorry if that isn't the answer you were looking for.

Cheers,

Evening,

That is disappointing as you have already implemented this feature on the Doncaster North and Doncaster Station Sims so you have already set a president for this feature.
Given that the sims I outlined do have have freight traffic I would disagree with the benefit to the player if anything, for what I call the more boring TT's as in the ones that cover the modern day from say 2009 to now it would make them a bit more challenging regulation wise knowing that train x has to do 20mph over this section of line.

I know I have mentioned this before, but with the first lot of support for sims ending soon.
Would Carlisle have the remaining bugs fixed before the end of support arrives for it? As I know there is few little bugs on the sim and was hoping this was sorted a long long time ago. I have a couple of new timetables for Carlisle due to be written. Unless there is a surprise of a new Carlisle Sim in the future who knows?.

While more work for the TT writer, although maybe only once if you then copy the trains, you could use the category change function to swap maximum speed between any locations.

I have only really used it for tampers to slow them down to 4mph 'when working' but should do the job. I probably should revisit the stock Westbury 2006 TT sometime and use this to compensate for stone trains which run too fast uphill.

Afternoon,

As a TT writer myself I totally disagree that it is more work for the TT Writer. Its just a case of ticking the Sim 1 Box. for the "Heavy Slow Freight" trains so its hardly going to make you break into a sweat doing it as you have to enter all that info when creating the train types.

My suggestion was a way to timetable for sims that do not currently support the HAW adjustments.

There's a particularly nasty HAW restriction between mill race junction and attercliffe Road on sheffield. 15mph for all HAW freights for something like a mile and a half. A fun one to watch on traksy.

It is indeed implemented as a custom speed category on doncaster station as it makes a fair bit of distance to certain sectional times.
