Hello, We are three guys who would like to chain three sims together. We were hoping to find three sims that sends trains to each other, so that all of us sends trains to the other two if you know what I mean? A triangle. We are looking for good suggestions of sims to try both payware and, if possible, a suggestion where one of the three are freeware as one of us are testing out SimSig before eventually buying. Are we guaranteed that there will be timetables that matches all sims that chain together? Log in to reply |

Hoggorm in post 157767 said:Hello,Three which are all payware but meet your requirement are Edinburgh, Motherwell and Central Scotland. The supplied 2006 TTs are all compatible with each other. bill_gensheet has also uploaded 1984 and 1993 TTs for all three sims in the user-contributed listings of the Downloads section of this web-site. You can also chain Edinburgh, Central Scotland and North East Scotland. There are no compatible timetables in the user-contributed section but again the supplied 2006 TTs are all compatible. You will be able to create triangles in other parts of the country which will have compatible sets of the supplied 2009, 2015 or 2019 TTs. Other people will no doubt be along to help you with suggestions for triangles using those TTs or you can make your own choices from the diagrams @chrissdmadd has suggested for you. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 08/07/2024 at 19:56 by postal Reason: None given Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Hoggorm |

Thank you both! Yes, we have seen at the chaining map however we find it somewhat difficult to find sims that are suitable for us. I appreciate your suggestion postal. I see however that Central Scotland is a Pro level sim. I am not sure I am up for that task... Log in to reply |

Hi, You can also see the Chaining Tool Diagrams - some options are Sheffield/Ardsley/WestYorks or Derby/Aston/Saltley - amongst many. Thanks Jamie Jamie S (JAMS) Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Hoggorm |

Cambridge/Peterborough/King's Cross are a freeware triangle. I don't know if there are matching timetables for all three and I think currently Cambridge is unavailable (I'm doing a major revamp), but you might want to bear this in mind for the future.

Payware wise, Sheffield, Doncaster Station and Leeds Ardsley all chain in a triangle with a decent volume of trains passing over the chaining connections, but Doncaster and Sheffield aren't exactly beginner level sims.
