Please feel free to move if required I have recently added the Cowlairs route about late June 2024 (as I already have paid for Central Scotland in late 2011) However it takes about 20 minutes to show up I need to close and then restart the Loader numerous time Have I missed something? Looking at your account, you only have a license for Cowlairs- did you use a different user name to purchase Central Scotland? You will need to make sure that you've clicked 'check for updates' to ensure that you have downloaded the latest version of the simulation, and have entered the correct user name and password. Once that's done the sim should be available to play and, once you purchase a license, it's usually available instantly unless the SimSig website is down for maintenance, which is rare. We have unfortunately been down this road before mjkerr. https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/52449 In this thread from 3½ years ago; you were informed then that you hadn't actually purchased a license for Central Scotland (or Edinburgh) and had been using the even then- discontinued free versions of those sims. If you click “Check for Updates” on the Loader screen it will give you the option to download any sim you either do not have installed at all, or for which an update is available. When logged in, you will be able to fully play any freeware sim, or sim you own a licence for. Any other sims will open in demo mode for you to try out if you so desire. Log in to reply |

The simulation won't disappear from the list unless you're deleting it somehow. Sequence of events - Start up PC Start SimSig On first load Cowlairs does not show up (trial short time limit only) Click on Update, no change Close SimSig Repeat the above until Cowlairs appears Eventually Cowlairs appears, shows as locked Select start and SimSig advises this is not permitted To resolve this, a shut down restart After this SimSig appears to load correctly, after which I can then proceed in the same way as Carlisle After purchasing Cowliars there were about three updates required, but now it seems excessive and the process seems to take about 20 minutes DELETED Log in to reply |

That's very different to it no showing at all. You don't need to run any updates as the simulation is installed on your PC. When you start SimSig, have you entered your user name and password into the Loader, and does a green tick appear, like in the image below? If it doesn't, you'll need to make sure you're connected to the internet and you have entered your details correctly. Once you've got the green tick, the Cowlairs license should be available to use. If you don't have a reliable internet connection, you can lock the license to your computer. Ensure you're connected as described above, then click 'Start New Simulation', right-click Cowlairs on the list, and select 'Lock license to this machine'. You can then use Cowlairs on that PC without being connected to the internet. To start with this username and password are saved / always appear I can only view the free timetables / routes on loading Cowlairs fails to appear correctly, when I select this it shows as a limited trial When I attempted to run this today it takes about 40 minutes until it will allow me to run it in full mode I still get the warning of a locked program, which should not be the case (as far as I am aware) I have also now noticed one of my previous saves has failed and I had to go back and replace it all! This was 5Y01 with FX This suggests the timetable file is being overwritten on update I am at a complete loss on this I now have THREE copies of the timetable files, as this no longer makes any sense as I seem to keep losing any updates I make to live data DELETED Last edited: 27/07/2024 at 18:08 by mjkerr Reason: None given Log in to reply |

You say you have 5 computers previously in the thread, is Cowlairs open (and therefore your license in use) on one of those other computers?
