Afternoon,

Whilst testing a new TT in development last the other night I noticed that when the route is set from D300 or D301 towards D292 the signals in rear do not give flashing aspects.
These signals was fitted with the capability to flash Sept 1982 and is shown in the Weekly Operating Notice that appertains from the 18th Sept to the 24th Sept 1982

This is the extract for the Up Main to D292

*DONCASTER *
Additional flashing aspects have been fitted to Up Main signals D.812 and D.814. ·
The new aspect sequence reading from Up Main to Up Slow (D.292) via the facing connection at 156m.
42ch will be :-
Signal Aspect
D.300 Yellow (with Position 1 indicator)
D.812 Flashing Yellow
D.814 Flashing Double Yellow
D.822 Green
Aspect

Also D292 only clears for trains on the approach when in reality and this can be seen on many videos on You Tube and alike form the 1980s and 1990s that when the route is set towards D282, Signal D292 Clears right away to what ever aspect is required.

Thanks,
Zero Delta Zero Severn

Oddly, on a first glance at the control tables, I can't see the flashing sequences shown.

While I remember, as I'm doing this now, D292 to D282 actually has some pretty complex conditions on it, so much so that they overflow the control table line and are continued in another section. The sim data matched the control table but in hindsight the control table (and thus the sim) doesn't make sense - it seemed to be missing an OR operator. Anyway, broadly speaking, 292 to 282 requires a train approaching 292 to show proceed, with a longer strike-in for D300, or D282 off.

Any idea when the updates will be sent to the loader? just so can re work the fudges I've had to do to get the TT work. Hopefully the RMT north siding is now wired up so I can shunt my vans away.

Thanks,

Should be before this weekend. They're being tested as we speak.

And yes, I flipped the breaker on the siding.

Ok, it took until Sunday but Station/South/North updates are now live.

Hi Geoff

I know this probably isn't high on your list of things to do but I tested out your flashing yellow issue on Doncaster towards D292 and found that trains are not really reacting to the approach release aspect of the signal as it's clearing too soon.
In the real world, we always have to crawl right up to the end of the platform almost before D292 signal clears from Red to yellow.

It's daft as it goes against the point of a flashing yellow really... We hit the 70mph points at no more than 50 and then brake all the way towards the edge of P3B and then it clears. Normally doing no more than 20mph.

Just thought id mention it as when I looked at it on the sim trains were hitting all the speeds all the way into the platform.
