Hello

I was wondering if anyone can help me.
I have been playing the range of 1997 tts available for some of the southern region sims which I really enjoy.
I was thinking of trying my hand at writing a 1997 tt for Basingstoke and or NorthKent but cannot find any information about train diagrams or frieght consists.

Many thanks

Hello,
I'm presuming given your lack of mention of it that you have found a relevant WTT document?

Flikr will be your friend for finding consists. Search for a station followed by a year. eg "Dartford station 1997" there will be photos and you should use these to help build consists! It won't be perfect, but it gives you a rough idea what ran.

Passenger consists will be easy as the southern was very standard with there traction. Pretty much everywhere on what is now SouthEastern got the same units at the same time. For diagrams.. that's a little more tricky can't help you with that one other then looking the next next working after a train terminates in XYZ platform, then the next working out of that same platform is the same train.
If there is a outbound working with seemingly on inbound, chances are that the outbound split off a previous train.
Hope this helps

No worries! Network Rail have you covered! Their archives contain every WTT for every region from RailTrack to present day!

Your year is covered by old Freightmaster books, usually some about on eBay etc.
Should help a bit at least.

CWN used to be saved on the old UKMEMU yahoo group, but that ended abruptly. They were going to be transferred to reside on SE-Gen@groups.io
https://groups.io/g/se-gen

I did not follow across, being more interested in the EMU chat than 'gen', but that was the plan anyway. Note that asking questions is not OK on that group.

I would second Freightmaster as a good starting point to what headcode is what type of product and wagon eg stone hoppers, intermodal flats etc.

Beyond that, research via Google, Flickr or relevant books with photos covering the area is your best bet.

If all else fails there are quite a few Knowledgable people on here who could assist with specific queries via a forum post.
