I’m playing the West Yorkshire 2023 timetable and have an issue with 6Z40 detaching its loco in what appears to be the wrong location.
If you look at the screenshot, the location for the detachment is in the Up Goods loop in which case why is the loco detaching in the UDT location?
Is the driver confused, or am I?
Save attached.

The location is Wakefield Kirkgate. The platform is UG. Looking at the signal plan, are you sure the train wasn't meant to go to WK1237? Sidenote: UG in that case would stand for Up Goole, not Up Goods.

You could be right about the detachment being at WK1237, but how would I know that from the timetable information? Maybe I'm missing something.

Anyway. I'll load an earlier save and see what happens if I send 6Z40 to WK1237 for the detachment. Hopefully, you won't hear from me again

Yeah, you've put it on platform UDT. As it's got Through Line Stop it will happily park down and detach as soon as it's in the station.

The goods loops are a separate location, named "Wakefield Kirkgate Gd Loop".

Thanks
Jamie

Yup. It was meant to detach at WK1237 and is now doing so nicely

Still something amiss here.
If WK1237 was the correct location for the detachment, I shouldn't have had to keep reversing 0Z40 to get it onto the other end of 6Z40.

Someone must know the correct movements, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

EDIT: I've made an error, only a tiny, tiddly one though 🙄 I've gone back to an earlier save so hopefully will get it right this time 🤞
