Hi all, Coupla things; 1) Am running Loader v5.29, Derby, 1987 TT. There are NO Shunt Arrows at all. Am guessing that maybe Derby is a bit out-of-date now? It's not a great problem, just something of 'battleships' pixel hunt at times. 2) Bigger problem, and it may be that I'm missing summat right obvious, is routing 9P01 from 435 into Station Yd CS. No matter how I set the GF, I CANNOT get a route set. Could someone give the exact steps to achieve it, please? Thanks in advance, Neal x Log in to reply |

Point 1: why do you need shunt signals? If they are not there, the shunt moves may work fine with main routes used... Point 2: getting into Station Yd CS, the ground frame is only needed for moves into Station Yd CS from the North side. Coming from Derby London Road Jn you should be able to just set the route from 435 to 439 and from 439 to 457. Log in to reply |

Please can you confirm that you can't see the ones at 388 and 506 (first signals out of Derby station on the main lines)? What about the grey exit arrows at platforms and sidings? Some users running SimSig on Mac, Linux etc. have had issues with certain symbols displaying properly, could you let us know what operating system your computer is running? Not at 388, not at Platform Ends, not at Birmingham Curve, not anywhere. 2) Where is it located? If I have an approximate locale I can, at least, do a click-hunt. EDIT; I D/Led the Signal PDF, and it shows where they are. Doesn't solve the problem of why they're not shown in-game, of course. This page might be a useful starting point (even if the error message therein isn't seen), which addresses a couple of different issues.

The other likely way windows can lose the arrows (and other higher numbered characters from the SimSig font) is the utf8 "support" feature. Jan in post 133339 said:

Bingo!!! Happy to report that problems are Solved and Solved. Many thanks to all who contributed, you're proof this Community is a many splendoured thing. I'm Win 10, btw, apologies for not pointing that out. I tried re-installing the Simsig Font with no change. In the end, Tempest Malice had the right of it with the UTF-8 suggestion. Beta box was indeed ticked. I followed the instructions, did the restart and Presto, all is right in Derby :) Thank you all so very much, Neal x Log in to reply |
