Gosford - 2 bugs found 27/01/2025 at 10:57 #160039

Hello,
Two bugs to report in the Gosford area. Modern era.

I had a shunt route set from shunt signal 92/93/94 to signal 50.4 and then a main route from signal 50.4 to signal B 50.2. As the shunt move cleared the points between the up and down mains I prepared the route for the next train (N182): GF 108 - GF104 - 50.4. This caused the points to move underneath the shunt move (the train list says "point set against train"). I also got an error message with something along the lines of "point not swingeable" which I unfourtantly closed before reading it fully. As far as I can tell the route I tried to set for the second train shouldn't be allowed, it should give a "points locked by another route" message. See screenshot and save files (about 2 minutes before the occurance and right after it happened).

Another, minor bug I've noticed is the speed limit at Gosford. According to this video it should be 60 km/h on the main lines throughout the station area. In the modern sim era it's currently 40 km/h and freight trains seems to lose a very small amount of time even when running under clear signals. https://youtu.be/fw2ZkLl-Q58?t=7164

The Swingset Not All Swingable error causing points to move under the train is a mix of Mantis tickets 31622 and 36510. This is a known issue which is a deep and tricky fix. No estimate on a patch for it is currently available.

With regards to the track speed, during the era simulated there was a speed restriction of 40kmh between the platforms and North Jn due to clearance issues caused by movement of the track over time.

Hope you are otherwise enjoying the sims.

Thank you!

I'm very much enjoying the Australian sims! I've played many hours on Moss Vale and Central Coast, and considering getting Sydney Box next, not least for the supplied 1980s timetable.
