I think this sentenced confused matters..

"Apart from the issue with the HSTs terminating in P5 I can't find any mention of these issues in this thread."

What I was trying to say here is that I'm referring to other trains that divide at Sheffield (and not the HST's which I knew the TT developers were aware of).

By way of example, 2J76D arrives P3 no problem and then divides to form 2L64 and 2L65L which then suddenly no longer fit in the platform. There are others on other platforms.

I really don't want to sound negative as I love this TT and appreciate the effort the TT developers must have put in to it. I just need some help ironing out a few gremlins.

Jav - It's not taken as negative feedback - We prefer it that way

In the case of 2J76 - I think that you may need to make its stopping position Far End - I'll try and get time and run it a little later and see if that cures the problem

Enjoy the next hour :)

EDIT - Just reloaded and confirm 2J76D doesn't foul if it's stopping position is set to Far

Blimey Meld, that was a quick reply. I had to nip into town after my last post so only just seen your reply.

I'm glad you haven't taken offence with my feedback. I'm afraid it is in my nature that I tend to spot things that don't fit a pattern or work as they should and I can totally understand that it could really annoy people. I will make the change you suggest to 2J76. When I find the notes I've made as I've played the TT I'll post the details of the other trains that are doing this.

Bit off topic this but, by way of giving something back to the SimSig community, I am slowly making a KX 2011 TT from the FOI WTT that someone posted on here. When I've done I'll post it for anyone that has access to the other operators TT's to merge with it. Not being a railway man I don't understand some of the abbreviations so I'll try and get along to the next Yorkshire SimSig for some guidance. Hope to see you there.

I'm back to playing this sim/tt. Now up to 19-00 and think I have discovered a problem with 1J01. It's activities upon arrival in P6 at Sheffield are DF 5M10 and DF 0V97. Both these trains are due to depart south (S91 and S82 shunts respectively). 0V97 should depart first but is trapped behind 5M10.

Looks like 1J01 should detach 0V97 first as this is a light loco then the coaches for 5M10.

Can anyone confirm this as it could just be trains are all out of order due to late running?

Also, why do many of the freights enter so early and then delay the passenger services? (I'm running in easy mode). Think this may have been asked before but I couldn't find it so apologies in advance.

My favourite set of shunts in the TT

In reality the loco from Leeds is the loco that works 1V971 and the loco from 1V97 works the much later 1M10 (it was used as a balancing diagram to get a 45/1 back to the MML for maintenance @ Toton)

Javelin - you are right the detatches should be the other way round DF0V97 then DF5M10, in my version they already are, its been that long since I looked at this section I forgot that the error was there and had been corrected.

The thing to remember when doing them is not to reverse 5V97 onto 5M10 (seen this done many times in testing) If i remember correctly 5M10 must go to S82 before 5V97 leaves US2 (you will have to talk 5V97 past S85 to make sure it clears S91).

With regards the freights running early hopefully the rules I've added to the next version will reduce the problem, Unfortunately, in 80's mode the sim is missng the 4 track section from Wath Road Jcn - Aldwarke - Masbrough so everything has to come in on 2 lines

Sorry for not getting back on this any sooner but I've solved the problem at last -

The following Timetables need activities editing

0E62s needs to be J:1E62 N:5E62
5E62 needs all its activities deleting but needs it Train type altering to Cl 08 + 3 Mk1s
1E62 then needs its stopping position altering to Near and its activities to J:0E62S DR:5E62

therefore 1E62 arrives in Sheffield 0E62S then joins to 1E62 and detaches the vans to form 5E62
Great timetable by the way :)

taking these actions results in 5E62 overhanging the junction beyond S101; blocking anything coming off HS for 20 mins (0m00x for example) and meaning that it can't be started from S101 for the shunt to HS. However it's either that or shorten 1E62 as far as I can tell!

(Edited to say - getting 1E62 to shunt forwards before joining seems to get rid of the overhang problem)

Still enjoying this timetable :)

Couple of things around the 10:00 mark:

1)Should there be a rule on 8T35C entering from Darnall Sidings?

I assume it should not enter until some time after 8T35B has arrived as these form part of the same (T35) trip working.

2) 6T34C (T34 trip) stops at Roundwood 11" mill "Terminated, no more timetable trips" at 09:52 when in reality this should form 6T34D which enters at 10:22 (or rather, doesn't, until you remove 6T34C)

Problem train from Sheffield 1b to Sheffield HS. Each time train begins to run to destination, receive error message: Internal error and cannot execute well the action.

Note. Installed the last Sheffield version, loading previous saved session with this timetabled. Ignore if saved session was made with new version or with previous version. Because, on february passed I did a recover all files from secondary hard disk, and all files recovered have date as february 2014.

This topic is oldest. I put reply, ignore is my timetable is this: SFLD83V3 any day. Problem is over train stopped on Sheffield and destination to HS.
Train 1E62 arrives to Sheffield pl 1B and uncouple 5E62. Made departure of 1E62, 5E62 couples with 0E62S which is stopped on siding. Made that couple, has destination to HS exit point. Automatic doesn't start its departure. If forze departure receive error message. Put image of that error message received:

Ignore if this problem is caused because I use the last sheffield version and must use the oldest v. 1.2.xxx to run this timetable correctly. And use 1980 era for this timetable. Anyone can clarify the problem. Thanks.
