Guys! Check out Youtube for Zontar.

Zontar is an alien stranded somewhere up in the north of England. During his time on the planet he has developed an active interest in railways - particularly the Deltics.

Either on YouTube or the producers own website (www.babydeltic.com) you can see a whole host of Zontar short movies - many of them involving railways. Perhaps the best short is Zontar's Tribute to Doncaster Works. Using special effects, the producer recreates the Deltic scrapline and even better has the whole row of Deltics roaring back into life! Zontar obviously favours Deltics, as in another movie he goes trainspotting and is disappointed when he see a failed Deltic excursion being hauled extremely slwly by a class 40.

One warning though. If you are easily offended, avoid Zontar at all costs. THe language is extremely ripe, and some of the other clips involve scenes of a sexual nature. That aside, the Zontar movies are great fun and very nostalgic

ZONTAR!!!

An absolute star in his own right and someone who I dream to get to meet one-day. Never ever thought I would find Zontar mentioned here though.

Many many enthusiast that I know personally or have met in various locations tend to impersonate Zontar - surely a sign of his legendary status. I've even dabbled a bit myself in impersonating Zontar. Of course if he was in my presence I could never do such a thing as impersonating him.

The guy behind Zontar is an absolute genius and someone who I would have no questions about buying a pint or three for as a mark of my sheer respect for him!

I'm sure that Zontar would love to know I've had the delight of signalling 55022 Royal Scots Grey on SimSig KingsX.

Zontar should do a RoadRail Show around the UK performing in clubs doing kinda stand-up comedy, not only would it be a great laugh and a fantastic night out but just imagine the amount of enthusiasts who would turn up at each show - surely a great way to 'mingle'.

Zontar, if the hope that you're reading this... I hope you're doing OK.

Now then, just gotta bow down before Zontar whilst saying "I am not worthy, your royal highness".

Think I might write to The Queen to ask for Zontar to receive an OBE for services to railway enthusiasts, tee hee hee

I would be inclined to suggest the same thing but sadly I think I heard it likely wouldn't really happen due to reasons that I won't mention publicly.
