Some excellent clips.
Personally I never thought that the old BR Green did anything for the Westerns. Maroon yes......
Some Sim Siggers will be to young to remember these....but when I was knee high to a grasshopper.

When I was still young :rolleyes: I can remember D1062 Western Courier which had been fully restored by the apprentices at Swindon Works after withdrawal. They used to run it up and down the siding which ran alongside "A" Shop before it went to the SVR in 1977.That was maroon and it looked absolutely fantastic.

Excellent footage there. Got an 00 gauge model of D1062 Western Courier in my collection - love it. I really like the unique look of Westerns, with that big sort of semi-circular almost 'iconic' cab window shape. Truly fantastic locos so thanks for sharing that one.
