Hi all,

First off; thank's for these great new sims !!
(And yes I will be making a donation ;-)

I seem to be having a problem with the groundframe at Bo'ness.
I managed to release 5J60 from SRPS, but now the points seem to be stuck.
It could ofcourse be a failure, but there doesn't appear a message about this.

I've read the Wiki concerning the operation of groundframes.
Signal GF5 is replaced, signal PB522 is still at danger. If I operate the lever
to normal all is well.

Thank's

Rob

Rob,

here is the order of things I would do to get 5J60 out of the sidings:

1) Right Click on the Emergency Replacement Switch on PB522 signal
2) Left Click on the roundel adjacent to the letter "F" (Free) [The signal box has free'd the ground frame]
3) On the menu window, select: "Show" --> "Lever Frames" --> "Bo'ness GF"
(NB: On the "Bo'ness GF" window, by hovering over each lever with your mouse, a description of each lever will be shown)

Now pretend you are the Ground Frame Operator out lineside...

4) In the lever frame window, throw the 'Release' lever, number 1
5) Move the points by throwing lever 2
6) Clear the up signal by throwing lever 3

5J60 will no start moving onto the Up E&G

After 5J60 has departed...

7) Return the up signal to danger to danger by throwing lever 3
8) Swing the points back by throwing lever 2
9) Return the release lever 1
(NB: you can then close the "Bo'ness GF" window)

Now you are back to being the Signaller in the box...

10) Right click on the roundel adjacent the the "F" to 'un-free' the Ground Frame
11) Cancel off the Emergency Replacement at PB522 signal by left clicking on the 'E' roundel

You should be back to normal running :-)

Hopefully that makes sense/works!

Hi,

Succesfully got as far as Nr. 8.
The points do not return to normal. If I move the Lever again it
returns to reverse without any problem. I've tried several times but it won't lock into
it's normal position. Seems like a failure (or bug).

It works on the version I downloaded on Thursday morning. The only thing I can think of is - Has the train departed completely cleared the points? Is that area track circuited so you can check?

Hi,

Started a new session and it worked OK.
It must have been a failure then although this never turned
up in the messages.

Thank's anyway

It may have been one of the conditions noted in http://www.SimSig.co.uk/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=usertrack:mans:edingfs
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.
