In the attached save which was chained with Aston, signal NS247 has failed and was unlit. So I authorised 2N14 to pass the signal and now it has promptly stopped at SY56 and will not move even if I try to authorise it pass a signal. This means the whole chain has ground to a halt

I'm unable to reproduce this on an independent test, either by authorising him past 247, or by asking him to examine the line.

Yes, the chain was with Aston, not Satley. That's the issue.
