(Somewhere in the Signalman's General Instructions? Or possibly Section C. But that was a long time ago and all sorts of things may have altered since then.) What TORR logic does, I really don't know. What is the standard operating procedure for cancelling routes behind trains? Does the signaller have to wait for the train to clear the route fully before cancelling behind? Will the potential limitations of subroute relays not being repeated to the RBC impose additional restrictions on manual cancellation of these routes? Log in to reply |

kbarber in post 114825 said:So the bobbies at the Cross are presumably used to having to pull up behind every train at one signal but letting TORR do it for them at the next. Currently the situation for TORR in kingss coss is that: Hitchin has TORR on every signal except 226 & 227 (the two in the middle of Hitchin up yard, due to them being opposing locking omitted), Finsbury SSIs have TORR on 384 signal only (up slow 1 platform starter). I don't know since when or why for it being this way, just that that is the current SSI data. kbarber in post 114931 said: What TORR logic does, I really don't know. Try pages 5 & 6 of the old railtrack standard for TORR for a slightly impenetrable description of the logic used to imlplement TORR. And to drag the subject of the thread almost back to the derby sim; although the sim covers the PSB era, the new workstation covering the derby area has TORR throughout, with the TORR on the relay interlockings which weren't replaced (duffield and ambergate) being provided in the westronic tdm equipment (It check the outputs of the interlocking for the full sequence of TORR conditions, and when they occur sends a signal button pull into the interlocking which itself is unmodified). So the same interlocking that the SimSig sim is simulating, does now feature TORR in reality.
