Currently working on a current timetable for Cornwall which includes some of the trains that I am in involved in.
2Q08 the Track Recording unit (TRU) has gone down the branch to Looe. Whilst down there 5L69 arrives from Plymouth and goes into Platform 3 to form 2L69. 2Q08 comes back up the brach and is booked to go from Coombe Jn to Liskeard platform 2.
2L69 is behind the stop board in platform 3 but is asking for the token release (which 2Q08) has. 2Q08 however does not move from Coombe Jn and it is basically a mexican standoff. Yesterday I spoke to the Liskeard signaller who confirmed that 2Q08 should run as normal as he has the token.
Possible this maybe a Mantis ticket required am going to look into it a bit more today

Looking at the schedules 5L69 should be Liskeard Yard GF 0540-0546 and 2Q08 0543-0547.

That suggests to me that 2Q08 should come off the branch before you put 5L69 in the bay

Hi Mate
Having another look at it today. Should not make any difference though after speaking to the signalman

The timetable you're running for 2Q08 is missing Liskeard Yard GF on return towards Liskeard.

My understanding of how the underlying coding has been done is limited; but as far as I can tell the internals of the sim need that timetabled in there to tell the train it is coming off the branch - otherwise it rocks up to the GF and tries to go into the bay regardless of what platform code is in its timetable.

The Moorswater trains in the supplied timetables have this location added in, and work correctly with a unit "locked in" in Liskeard bay platform.

Perhaps the manual could be clarified if the above can be confirmed.

Just going to add to JamesN's point here.

What you have to remember is that SimSig does not have human intelligence. A human on the ground would know that to get to Liskeard Mainline from the branch you have to go via the yard, where as in SimSig, if you're not timed at the ground frame, the train will just carry on, because that is where the point work is taking it.

There are quite a few places in SimSig where you either need to add another timing point to make up for this, or tweak the timing location

Pretty sure you also need a line code at the GF location to make sure it goes the right way, don't have the sim in front of me to check though.
