Hi,
I got a new pc a few years back after trent became obsolete. Its a sim that i really liked and played a lot. So i was just wondering whether the donationware sims would become loader form?

I am willing to bet the answer to this question is negative :-)

I think that the slightly more detailed answer is that the developer who wrote the SIM is no longer part of SIMSIG but still owns the copyright. So it would mean starting from scratch again.

Id suggest there's two possible outcomes to this. Neither of which results in a loader based donationware sim.

1) Trent PSB is produced. This wouldn't be a straight forward port of the original. It would need to be a brand new simulation from the ground up. Given the size of the sim and complexities with era differences, it's likely be in the higher cost category in line with say doncaster or three bridges.

2) the equivelant workstations of EMCC are simulated to give a modern simulation of the area. In some places this won't be backwards compatible with older timetables. As above price likely to be the higher end due to work involved.
