Hello all I'm currently in the process of making my first time table and currently struggling with the Seed map placements. I have figured out the seeding for the platforms but not with signals throughout the rest of the panels. Is there any seed map available for this? I've seen the signal map but that isn't too useful.

Right-click* on the signals between the locations until you find the signal number at the location that fits your seed entry best. * Left-click if you have used F3 to set Options > Control to check the "Right-click cancels route" box. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

I second Postals comment. It can be a bit of a guessing game, but when you test the timetable you can always adjust the seed point by several signals if its running to early/late. trains are normally seeded at a signal number rather than a location so I'm not sure why the signal maps aren't what you're looking for. could you elaborate on what information you're actually looking for to complete seeding? Maybe I'm just not understanding correctly so I'll show the example. I want to seed a train in at signal W22 but I don't know which seed point that is. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

The signals are listed alphanumerically. In that sort of listing S1 is followed by S10, S100, S101 . . . S11, S110, S111, S112 . . . You need to scroll down the list to find S2, S20, S200, S201 . . . S21 . . . S22 . . . To add to the fun in this case, seeding at S22 in the TT actually enters the train at S10. Presumably something in the coding for the sim due to some sort of local circumstance. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Hoax |

S60 is S22 I have figured out slightly annoying they don't link up exactly.

It is frustrating when you get other simulations which show locations as Platform 1, 2 3 etc but in Waterloo, you're second guessing yourself however I had the same issue myself so by using logic I worked out all the seeding locations for the Platforms at London Waterloo and also at the Carriage Sidings just outside London Waterloo. There's probably a reason for Waterloo being different but hey ho...

Either way the Sim is now unsupported so is not permitted to enter the test/release system. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

As I understand it, the original paged version of Waterloo the wrong signal numbers. This was corrected on the scrolly version for most purposes by using a display alias, but the TT editor is referencing the internal IDs which weren't changed. By some minor miracle, the original signal number plan is still on the Wiki. So use this plan to select signal numbers to seed at, rather than the scrolly version: https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Media/Wiki/%2Fusertrack%2Fmans%2Fwaterloo-signal-number-plan.pdf "Don't stress/ relax/ let life roll off your backs./ Except for death and paying taxes/ everything in life.../ is only for now." there is a similar albeit minor issue like this in Exeter new yard which I think was the same reason.
