At some point in the SimSig universe, would it be feasible to see those five make a appearance at all?

Blackpool and Preston would complete the WCML lines (Is Lancaster under Preston?)
Trent used to be available but would need converting to Loader format but would have a lot of chaining opportunities
Leicester if available would fill out the black hole that otherwise would connect to Peterborough, West Hampstead, Rugby North and Trent
Glasgow Central otherwise known as Glasgow Central Signalling Centre or West of Scotland Signalling Centre would hopefully be the last one in the McSims and would fill in the hole which otherwise would connect Motherwell and some of the local Scottish lines

Just be nice if like the opening statement said that they might be available.

Indeed Lancaster is covered by Preston along with East Lancs. Blackpool is inside Manchester ROC [M9]. Although Blackpool could see it's own simulation with how it was under manual semaphore signalling with boxes and the now era. Preston was in active development during 2018 as I was part of testing. In terms it looked ready to me.

Thank you, wasn't sure on Lancaster. Would that also have meant that the Morecambe branch and the line that goes to Skipton is also under Preston?

Blackpool, I would have hoped for two eras being that of 1990 and that of 2019 with the 1990 era offering semaphore signalling and 2019 era offering MAS signalling and electrification along with the different station layouts per era as there is a difference of number of platforms.

Preston is certainly a simulation that would interest me especially the East Lancs/Copypit lines but would hope that it would come in least 1980s/early 1990s era as well as 2019 era.

Preston came as it was when it opened, 80s, couple of 90s, 2000s eras. But the area I tested was 2016 & 2018 (Blackpool & Bolton Electrification). I was lead to believe 2018 would of been changed to 2020.
Carnforth SB was simulated and had to Bentham Lines & Furness Lines + Steamtown. Morecambe/Heysham were simulated also with Bare Lane Box. I'm with you on Blackpool, with Poulton-le-Fylde been my local station.

I only remember Blackpool North as it was in the 1980s and seeing the Blackpool Lights in the distance as the train approached Blackpool, the modern era would also be interesting.

+1 for all of these, but I especially miss Trent.

It had a nice variety of freight and pax and trams - something now only seen in the Sheffield sim at Rotherham.

It’s also a large sim, and would bridge the gap between Sheffield and Derby on the MML.

Depending on the data available, there’s plenty of opportunity for multiple eras here as well, as the railway network around Nottingham is now a much reduced version of its former self.

You could argue that the railway around most cities is a reduced version of its former self.

Leicester would indeed be nice to connect to West Hampstead although wouldnt connect directly to peterborough as there are 9 manual boxes in between, maybe thoughts for another sim via melton mowbray and Oakham including the corby connection at Manton Junction?

No Morpeth for ECML? (sad noise)
Also Eaglescliff will be nice for some diversion via Sunderland...

To fill the gap from Tyneside to Edinburgh you would actually need the data from three boxes (Morpeth, Alnmouth, Tweedmouth) which are all still extant (as well as the gate box at Spittal). Those boxes have lots of level crossings that need intervention by the signaller. Then there is the Blyth and Tyne and if you wanted to simulate any eras in that you would need the data from the now closed (and in some cases on the demolition list) boxes at Bedlington N, Bedlington S, Freemans, Hirst Lane, Marcheys House, Newsham, North Seaton and Winning as well as the recently added modules at Tyneside to cover those boxes and the new passenger service so not quite as easy as it might look. It's my local area so I live in hope . . . .

Not really, if the area is split into 4 or 5 panels at a push you might be able to have one panel being responsible for the entire line between Manton Junction/Helpston Junction to Syston East Junction and don't forget that Peterborough already has the ability to connect to a Leicester simulation should the powers to be bless us with it as Peterborough would connect to a Leicester simulation at Helpston Junction.

The other thing as well which shows it's quite possible is the fact that you can ask the signaller at Uffington to place a block for Leicester to Peterborough traffic which IF Leicester was connected, would probably be a safe bet that the call would than go to the panel operating that section of line in a MP session.

The main differences would be what era or eras would be available especially if connecting to West Hampstead because the Up and Down Slow was bi directional until recently when with electrification of the MML between Corby and Bedford, the MML between Bedford and Kettering was 4 tracks once more so would have to bear that in mind. Maybe a 2009 era and a 2019 era?

Of course this is all in theory as there may or may not be a Leicester simulation, I just hope there is as it would be nice to signal more of the MML.

Blackpool 1990 is on my list of things to do; I think it's fourth.

Blackpool 2019 is different enough that I think it might be better as a separate sim. I don't have access to the data, so couldn't do it myself.

I be contend with a 1990s era especially with all the semaphone signalling still than in place, a 2019 era is a long shot as it depends on data being available.

I know there's a rival company who's done Blackpool including both lines to North and South but still be interesting to see how SimSig simulates the area.

Also be nice to signal all the loco haulage back than.
