I have noted that the Paignton LC has gone. I further understand that route setting may not take place until any associated LC forming part of the route has first to be lowered. On LC's with 'auto raise' the LC will raise on the passage of a train. I have no issues with any of these requirements (except to say that running this sim single handed is now much more difficult). One thing I have noticed however....Minor LC's such as Crediton/Topsham and their ilk require you to lower the LC before you can set a route. Major LC's however (Red Cow/Silk Mill and Stoke Canon do not require the lowering of the LC prior to setting the route. Is this intentional? Log in to reply |

crediton still has a lever frame and so the lever will not release from the frame until the electrical locking releases when the crossing is cleared. cant speak for the other boxes but they certainly dont have autoraise in real life. dont forget, exeter is a major? powerbox while the others are small minor boxes not worthy of fancy equipment that allows route setting over LCs nor autoraise

It seems you can keep Silk Mill crossing down permanantly as it is now a bridge over the line

Just a small point Crediton does not have a lever frame, it has an old OS panel I think. Also it is correct that the route can be set over Red cow and Stoke Cannon before lowering the barriers, this is the arrangement in Exeter PSB. Last edited: 23/08/2011 at 20:41 by Tristan Log in to reply |

The Wiki is a bit light on detail I agree, but the beauty of it is any one can add stuff if they are so minded. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Last edited: 24/08/2011 at 05:32 by Peter Bennet Log in to reply |
