Just started playing this sim - looks great. Here's another map of the area, more diagrammatic. Source Log in to reply |

Second, it shows clearly the relationship of main line to suburban line. Third, I happen to find this kind of map helpful as it shows all stations. Don't have a QUAIL map. Log in to reply |

Thank you Maxand for making this map, I was unsure of the geography of the simulation within London - not knowing the area that well. It helped me understand the relationship of the sim to other lines, and distances involved. (Formerly known as manadude2) Log in to reply |

Small note: Maxand didn't make this map, it's by Project Mapping, who make 'alternative' public transport maps. Some of them are very very good. Some are dire! But some of them have obviously found favour with National Rail Enquiries as they've found their way onto their official maps page.

I notice that the proposed alteration to the Met being diverted along part of the old Croxley branch to Watford Junction isn't shown yet. Is that a go or is it still "in the pipeline" ?

Why show a line you can't use on a map, when it's already somewhat crowded in the London area? If you really wanted to complain about something missing, I'd have thought Crossrail and HS2 were more obvious!

Wasn't complaining chap. Other projects such as Thameslink and the ELL extensions both North and South were included on some maps. I was just wondering if the proposed alterations to the Met are going to happen yet more than anything

A search using my good friend Mr. Google brings me the news that the funding is in place, the Planning Inspector has held his public enquiry and that he is due to report to the Secretary of State imminently. If anyone wants to see the full details they are on the Croxley Rail Link web-site.

I should let you know that the Met will be diverted into Watford Junction in the next few years Extra platform, and line will join south of Watford High Sreet, where the old Croxley Branch joined before. http://www.rail.co.uk/rail-news/2012/metropolitan-tube-line-extension/ It's gonna get busy. I'm going to find a map in a bit. Last edited: 16/11/2012 at 15:38 by Guts Log in to reply |
