" said:…Does this happen anywhere else, for example what do Waterloo-Waterloo trains display on the board at London?…Although they don’t run any more, the announcements for the morning London Bridge-London Bridge via Crystal Palace services used to say: “Calling at: New Cross Gate, … Queen’s Road Peckham, South Bermondsey, and <BLANK>”, with just the ‘London Bridge’ part of the announcement cut off. The screens always used to display the destination as ‘London Bridge’, however. Log in to reply |

I don't know, to be honest! I thought DBS had the bulk of the work. The main point is that Network Rail don't (and can't) run any themselves!

Indeed, NR is forbidden from directly operating any train by the terms of its Network Licence.

Manchester Piccadilly- Manchester Oxford Road (Northern, TransPennine, East Midlands, Arriva Trains Wales). If we're allowing A to B on same route with no intermediate stop: Manchester Piccadilly- Stockport (Cross Country, TransPennine, East Midlands, Arriva Trains Wales, Virgin Trains, Northern) "Don't stress/ relax/ let life roll off your backs./ Except for death and paying taxes/ everything in life.../ is only for now." New Cross Gate-Crystal Palace or West Croydon (Southern and London Overground) Redhill-Reigate (Southern and First Great Western) Clapham Junction-Shepherd’s Bush (Southern and London Overground) Leighton Buzzard-Milton Keynes Central (Southern and London Midland) – No doubt there are other short segments along this stretch too where adjacent stations are called at by two different operators. Ebbsfleet International-Ashford International (Eurostar and Southeastern). Habrough-Barnetby (East Midlands Trains, First TransPennine Express and Northern (on Saturdays)).
