I don't know if this has been touched on before but last week while I was on the train Brummy to Preston we were on the Fast Line until Colwich Jn as noraml before going towards Stafford via FL. I noticed that with the route been set by the signaller that signals CH104, CH29 were flashing amber (yellow) and CH23 was a steady amber clearing to Green after the AWS with route flower? showing to the left. I've highlighted it on the Sim as it seems it don't do that instead if going towards stafford the train approaches a red before clearing to a green unless . Is it possible for it to be programmed in?

Stafford represents the old layout pre-WCML modernisation, signalling around colwich has changed quite a bit...

Colwich was pretty much just a re-control, not a re-signal.

Will check with the developer of the sim as to which routes should have flashing yellows.

I do know the area was upgraded with TV4, but I'm 100% positive the them signals were flashing before crossing at Colwich Jn to Stafford.
Colwich was re-controlled the signals were upgraded to LED thats about it.

Don't forget that what was the Down Fast line in the sim era is now the Down Slow. You may want to read http://forum.signalbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2920 which discusses the current situation at Colwich. The last post on the first page of that thread is by principles designer for the arrangements introduced in 2009. I am not quite sure why a Birmingham to Preston train would be passing Colwich Junction at all though, I can't think of any that are booked that way.

Still nailing down what aspect sequence a driver would have seen for CH23 towards Stafford, but we do know for sure it wasn't a flashing yellow route, per driver route guides for the era in which the SimSig simulation is set.

Geoff I'm sorry I've been looking at today's point of view  I do believe that it was non flashing in the era shown in the simulation, according to a VT Driver from Preston (no name given) the signals are of area RN and controlled via Rugby apparently and that they flash as mentioned below.

I thought Rugby only controlled to the site of Armitage Jn, with Colwich controlled by Stoke-on-Trent?

That's what I'm thinking as I though it was Stoke PSB but the signals are RN**** at Colwich which only means Rugby Controlled.

Colwich is controlled from Stoke-on-Trent (MCS workstation) and the signals are prefixed CH.

RN is used for the section Rugby to Nuneaton and in this case is controlled by Rugby, but the signal prefixes on the West Coast (and other places) do not necessarily indicate the controlling signal box, only a line segment. South of Colwich the signals are prefixed LS which means Lichfield to Stafford. North of Colwich you have SOT for Stoke and SD4 for Stafford No.4.

A video from last year showing signals at Rugeley (same workstation as Colwich):
