Pressing F1 in-sim to bring up the wiki has broken because the link appears to have changed.

Regarding the forum software, is it possible to change the behaviour so that clicking on a topic takes the user to the page with the post they last viewed (old default behaviour), or at least show page numbers to choose from? Perhaps I'm too used to the luxuries of the old forum...

Danny252 said:Is the Simsig logo appearing ridiculously large on all pages for anyone else? Illustrated: http://i.imgur.com/wRdnFon.pngMe too. Firefox 45.3.0 on Linux amd64. It seems to be appearing at the natural size of the actual file, which is 1500×516, rather than being scaled in the browser “responsively”. Also the raw file is 1.6 megabytes, which is rather a steep price to pay for a site logo for anyone on a low-end connection! Log in to reply |

It does on my PC if using Internet Explorer 11, but not if using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome

Above that width, the logo looks exactly the same no matter the window width and in fact produces a horizontal scrollbar if the window becomes narrower than the logo image.Danny252 said:Does changing the width of the window affect it? A trip to spec savers might help but I am sure that I am not the only one who has difficulty reading some of the text that now appears in a faint green colour. This starts with the message headers in the forum and seems to be true on many of other pages. Do we really need to have text which even if it is in black seems to be so faint that it fades away completely to me. Some of the text that appears in the posts quoting previous replies to the post are so small that they cannot be read. I'm also having this issue, most notably when in the faint green colour but even some of the small black text isn't that easy to read. Regarding the large logo (Mantis 15901), it appeared to be displaying more properly today, although it's still the same >1MB image. (Not as bad as another site which had slideshows of a dozen or so images, each several megabytes in size...) Log in to reply |

Yes although the hardest text to read seems to be where text is quoted at more than one level and also on the forum index page where it says "Latest post" and within the threads where the username is to the left of each post. Also in the shout box (except the username). Last edited: 21/09/2016 at 17:15 by Zoe Reason: clarified Log in to reply |

The mobile site is poorly implemented. The avatar unnecessarily takes up over half the screen on the forum pages and even if it didn't, the text still wouldn't fit a screen width. You shouldn't have to keep swiping left and right in order to read a post, it should be scaled to fit the screen width. Perhaps consider putting the poster's name above the post rather than to the side and also dispensing with the avatar for the mobile site.

The mobile site doesn't appear to be updating, posts that are showing on the desktop site are not showing on the mobile site. The time stamp of posts on the mobile site is an hour different to the desktop site. Log in to reply |

@Dick: The width issues were already mentioned here. The missing posts and differing timestamps seem weird though - especially since as to my knowledge the mobile page is just using a different CSS style, with the actual HTML content being the same.

The font isn’t correct but the rest of the logo looks identical (much tidier) and comes in at 384 bytes, I have made a couple of test PNGs – 1500×516 @ 39.4kiB (original resolution) and 259×89 @ 6.1kiB (website resolution). I am happy to send them to you in their current state, or, if you let me know what the font used in the logo is, I can update and send you the newer versions. Log in to reply |

We now have all posts dating back to July showing as a new post, the forum box that has been added now shows mumble jumble and the text on some of the green headers still being unreadable. I have just tried to read previous posts on the topic New Website and had a post with the header Mobile website thrown in for good measure. I know the team are doing their best to sort the problems but using the site at the moment is not as an enjoyable experience as it was before all theses changes were made. Under the Fixed items on the Wiki page is: Default to first unread post in a thread (or at least have some way to get there; it used to be optional where clicking the thread name would take you to the first page of the thread while the X New Posts text would take you to the first new post) On my system the default when there is/are unread message(s) is now the last posting in the thread not the first unread posting. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Regarding post count only showing new website posts- strangely, if you view someone's profile, the correct number is shown.
