Takes the romance away! Makes you realise what straight lines and regular angles do to help.

Fascinating. I wonder how many secret bunkers have been fitted into the tunnel sections to those long-closed stations? As for Paris, when I was there it did seem like occasionally the trains did a 90 degree turn in a carriage length, and it looks pretty much as if they actually do. No wonder they put rubber guide wheels on the ends of the stock. Thanks, Peter! Log in to reply |

Excellent find, Peter. Here's one I made earlier (about a year ago actually)... Post has attachments. Log in to view them. I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. Last edited: 20/08/2011 at 09:02 by AndyG Log in to reply |

" said:I am sure that Aldwych station was used to store the Elgin marbles during the warI'm pretty sure it was the tunnels between Holborn and Aldwych, not the station. From memory, the British Museum put a lot of stuff in those tunnels. Log in to reply |
