Lee, If you are using the shunt signals they have no berths assigned to them - only the main signals do. As long as the route goes from main signal to main signal the TD should interpose along. I don't think there are any exeptions on Sheff. Michael Ripley, Derbyshire Log in to reply |

To add to Micheals post, the locations with shunts don't have berths because those locations don't on the on the real panel. If a train is stopped for a period of time at one of these locations, a signaller would probably use a magnet on the panel with a note as a reminder of what train it is. On SimSig that isn't possible, obviously, so we have stick notes instead to do the same job (right click to access IIRC). You can use a sticky note to remind you what train it is and if you use what you called the headcode (the correct term is Train Description I believe), you can then click on it to get the TT up for that train. I also add time of departure too on a separate line so I know when to set the route for it. Log in to reply |

There's no need to use the shunt signals when setting routes from one main signal to the next Lee; the interlocking logic automatically clears any facing shunts within the main route (and clearly the train describer logic knows that & deals with descriptions accordingly).
