Regarding the missing 1E28 rule, there appear to be some missing for various trains which go into New Street and then re-appear. Might be worth a general check on these - particularly the mail trains.

Pascal Very minor point, but if I recall correctly, 1E94 and 1V28 should be described as Mails, not Postals. These were the two TPOs and I'm sure all TPOs showed as Mails in the WTT - maybe something to do with the fact that Royal Mail staff were carried on those trains, but that is pure guesswork. I also think the days need adjusting. At that time the RM rail operation was a 5-night operation with trains starting their journey on Monday to Friday*. For this TT, the first part of 1E94 (Bromsgrove to New Street) would be a M-F operation; the second part (New Street to Wichnor and not appearing until after midnight) would show as a Tu-Sa operation. In the other direction both parts of 1V28 would run Tu - Sa. * Some trains threw off pups at places like Stafford and Crewe after midnight and these pups would show as Tu-Sa rather than M-F but the parent train was a M-F operation. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 08/12/2011 at 21:32 by postal Log in to reply |

Pascal Finally got through to the bitter end. Cracking TT and thanks for the hard work. Apart from the various small niggles I've reported the only things that needs attention are a number of rules. There are lots of trains formed out of earlier trains which have dropped off the sim that need a rule set to stop them entering prematurely. Would you like me to go through and set them all up or have you already got it in hand? “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Thanks Barry for that, I'll check the WTT & get back to you on that. John, yes please if you could compile a list of all the train which need rules adding for them that would be a great help. Many thanks. Glad to hear you stuck with it till the very end. Hopefully 2nd time around you may find it slightly easier. Once we've added & amended anything else which gets reported I'll send up the revised timetable to be uploaded.

Thanks for that Barry noted. I will be making alterations to the Salltley 1995-1996 timetable tomorrow with help from John(Postal) who has added some missing rules. If nothing else gets reported during this week, I will re-send the revised timetable for uploading next weekend.

Just checked that Barry. The train should be 442m long. Cl.60+23 discharged bogie tanks. 6E54L has Cl.60+30 discharged bogie tanks. The length limit for Kingsbury Oil Terminal is 74 SLU's, which equates to 474 metres. I will alter that now. Thanks. Will look into your other reported issues after dinner.

In response to your queiry regarding 2B16/5C16 & 5H40/1H40. 2B16 altered to terminate in P2 at Birmingham Snow Hill, pick up its next working 5C16 & depert at 1126 turning round at SY.459 signal & then shunting into P1 at Birmingham Snow Hill behind 5H40/1H40. I've amended the stop position on 5H40 to far end so 5C16 should enter P1 without still fouling the Down Line. The subsequent train behind 2B16 is 2S18 which arrives in P2 at Snow Hill at 1130h & departes at 1132h. Hopefully that should resolve this issues. I've amended the master files for when the timetable is re-released.

In your other queiry Barry 1G12 seems to be the culprit here. So altered the terminating point of 1G12 to P2 at Snow Hill. Thus 5H40 now departs P2 & reverses at signal SY.459 & is re-timed & goes into P1, stops at 'far end' as per previous post. Hopefully that should solve that small clash at Snow Hill. Master file amended.

Barry in your earlier post you wrote:- "Is the TT correct? 2H12 Up Redditch to Walsal TT Longbridge P1 08:07½-08:08½. 5N26/2N26 TT P1 08:05 - 08:13." The WTT doesn't show the timings for the ECS turn-arounds at Longbridge Reversing Sdg so best guess was used. As a result I've re-timed 5N26 so it departs the reversing sdg at 0809 & arrives in Longbridge at 0811. Therefore not clashing with 2H12 anymore. Master file amended. Minor adjustment at Snow Hill T/B. Change 5C18 to SD2 as 5H43 is in SD1. Meant to mention 6V09D dep Longbridge Rover (Rec/Dep) at 10:35 shows going to SL , S/B FL. No access to SL. The same applies to 4G55D. Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Last edited: 15/12/2011 at 02:17 by BarryM Reason: Additional information Log in to reply |

Right Barry 5C18 altered as per your suggestion. Also altered all trains in the timetable which originate from Longbridge Austin Rover Plant to run 'FL'. Hopefully this will aleviate any routing issues with these services.

OK Barry, altered 1G24 to arrive in P2 instead of P1. Therefore it's next working will require reversing at SY.459 signal instead of going into the turn back sidings. Thanks for picking that up. Just to update those interested in this timetable, John(Postal) is going to start a test with the updated timetable. Once he has gone through it & I've altered anything that needs changing, that version will then be sent to the moderators for uploading after the festive season has passed. So early January 2012 if all goes well.

Hi Is it correct on this sim to have to enter headcodes differently to other versions of Simsig ? Any time I leave a train at Stratford and interpose the departing headcode as soon as it arrives, it loses it on departure and changes to **** . Same for Longbridge reversing siding but not for Snow hill, Redditch always seems to pop out with **** too. Solved by interposing one stop further along than normal which seems to keep everyone happy. Trying to run this one man operation is fun. Log in to reply |

'Slatteryc' can't say I've had any problems with interposing headcodes on Saltley. John(Postal) & myself are both solo playing the 1995-1996 timetable at the moment to test out the alterations that have been made to the version available onthe download section & I can't say I've experienced the same problems you are describing ever. Whether anyone eklse has had the same issue we shall have to wait & see.
