Wondered if anyone out there had braved the snow to get some shots. I battled against the wind and snow straight after we were let out of school.

It snowed most of yesterday in Chesterfield & its still snowing now. Easier walking on the roads than on the paths. Approx. 12-20 inches of snow in places around where I live. Surprisingly on BBC Look North this morning there were no reported problems on the railways. Unlike the airports & roads where some closure have happened.

We had snow and high winds in the North East Wales area yesterday and it is still snowing now. Tress down on the track in Chirk cutting, and power-lines across the tracks between Holywell and Flint. Thankfully today has gone much better.

It would be very helpful for other users of the Forum (particularly those for whom English is not their first language) if you could run a spell-check before you post.

Thanks in advance.

As we can all understand what he posted, do we really need to have another huge debate over spell checkers? Let's just leave it me thinks.

I think you are being a little presumptuous in speaking for the many who do not have English as a first language and may have to use a dictionary to translate to their native language if they want to understand in full what is posted.

Internet Explorer 10 (the latest version) finally has inbuilt spell checking.

Otherwise switch to Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox which both have that as a feature.

Or you can install the Google toolbar (available here) which runs on anything later than IE6 and has an inbuilt spell checker.

Actually, I have no idea what "[Coventry] to wache trains" refers to!

I take back my words. Friday and Saturday we had mega snow so on Saturday I went to Keighley Worth Valley to get some pics of of steam in the snow. I ended up snow shovelling the platforms most of the day. Lol
