All, Sorry, another newbie question. When a train is due to terminate at Rugeley they seem to do one of two things: The head code remains on the panel The head code disappears but the preceding still shows as red. What am I doing wrong? I'm presuming a terminating train either needs an instruction or it needs to be brought into the station differently so it terminates and removes itself from the station? I'm assuming the train is coming from Rugeley Town/Hednesford? These trains form a new service at Rugeley, the description of which is shown in the original train's timetable (prefixed by N: ). You need to Interpose this description over the old one. The new description will then tell you where to send the train next, usually back towards Hednesford.

Hello, Thank you for your help. I'm struggling with one other thing regarding Rugeley. I've attached a screenshot. 2k11 won't move. It is heading for Rugeley Town. I also don't know why parts of the line in front of it are red, there is nothing in them? I'm asking a lot of questions - If there is documentation I missed then your welcome to tell me to go a read it. I read everything I found. Thanks Andrew Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Wow...that's a lot of stationery trains. OK...Rugeley. Before we start, it's worth mentioning trains can only exit at certain points from a sim. In addition, note that head codes simply move with the as the trains progress from TC to TC. If the track is red, just because there is no head code does not mean that it's not a train (it could of course be a track circuit failure and that will depend on whether you have failures on or not). Lets assume there are not any track circuit failures.....(if there are they'll be listed in the incident control panel). So if they aren't failures, the red lines are in fact trains. To find out exactly which they are you'll need to go through the trains list (press 'F2' ![]() If you are struggling to sort it out then you could save the game and then post that save here so others can take a closer look and diagnose precisely what's what. Hello, Thank you for your help. Unfortunately it was too difficult to work out which trains were blocking which so I had to cheat and use the remove train option. Your right it was a lot of stationary trains. It's the first time I've used the program so while I working one thing out queues built up elsewhere. By 3:30pm I'd cleared everything. It's now 17:30 and peak time so I'm a little bit behind schedule (about 15 minutes on some trains). Thanks Log in to reply |
