Hi.

Possible bug. Signal 608, which is an automatic, remains red even though the next signal is green. Is this a bug or how things are IRL? Screenshot attached.

Same as in the previous version of Peterborough, and steps up to yellow then green with an approaching train, in line with various other examples of approach control.

Forgive me for asking, but why would you have approach control at a signal which is after a junction, as is signal No. 608 on the Up Slow line. Am I missing something obvious?

Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate.

It's fairly common to prevent a read through error. Stops a driver seeing a signal on the slow line when they are on the fast and reading it as green when the signal on the fast is red.

"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

IRL, confirmed with someone who stood on the ground and watched it.

As headshot says, it's to do with preventing a read-through.

As this can (and has) cause a crash https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norton_Fitzwarren_rail_crash_(1940)
