I just had a train (1P10) call in that it would be delayed because the driver needed a toilet break. Only problem: the train isn't held at a station, but in the middle of nowhere at Longlangs Jn! Is the driver really getting out and taking a whizz in the field? :D ![]() ![]() Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

He's probably just walking back into the train and using the toilet on board!

On my last TPE trip to Liverpool we had a standing load from Newcastle and one working toilet (which was distinctly unsavoury by the time we got to York). “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

I have heard one tale from Gloucester PSB, where it was noticed that a train was coming to a stand on plain line despite clear signals - cue signalmen muttering oaths under their breath, expecting some sort of train failure or emergency. After a few minutes, the driver came on the SPT, stating "Sorry bobby, but when you gotta go, you gotta go"!

I remember someone telling me a tale about someone unbuttoning and taking a pee out the cab door while running down the slow lines only to be overtaken by an express and frantically putting it away
