SN49-SM9 - should this route exist? 03/03/2018 at 16:06 #106354

I've come across several timetabled moves on realtimetrains.com that suggest a train should run from the Up Perth into Platform 6 (SM49-SM9), but no such route is available in Simsig.

Is this an omission in Simsig, or has NR's timetabling department been planning impossible moves? It could well be the latter, as I've encountered several other bits of timetabling that took no consideration of reality.

To extend the query, SK6504-SM9 also doesn't exist, despite SK6518-SM9 being possible over the same track.

Digging a bit further, the Rules of the Route explicitly state "Trains can not depart Stirling North to Platform 6.", so it appears that SN49-SM9 is not available. Of course, that doesn't stop the previous page in the document from quoting timings for trains arriving into both P6 and P9 from Dunblane!

As for SK6504, this diagram indicates that 2 routes are available from the signal, suggesting a route into P6 should indeed be available.

I think you mean SN47?
Double checked the drawings I have and SN47 is correct per that info. However, is an omission.

Thanks

Indeed I do. Thanks for confirming that it's NR in the wrong regarding SN47!

There's nothing to say that things have not changed since my info was drawn up.
Can someone confirm that the current release is version number 4.2.3 please?
Wiki version control has gone awry.

The first two I uploaded did, but after editing the post and adding two more, they didn't.
