This may be related to something happening in the TT, but maybe not, so have posted here. Basically: I have a train, 2V12, which withdraws the Knighton to Llandrindod token happily at around 19:16, and leaves Knighton. Meanwhile there is a train, 6J88, which has been happily sitting all day in Llandrindod URS waiting for its departure time of 19:30. At 19:28, when 2V12 is nowhere near Llandrindod yet, as can be seen from the attached screenshot, a phone call is received from 2V12, requesting the Llandrindod to Llanwrtyd token! If granted, this results in 2V12 having two sections at once to itself. This also means I cannot get 6J88 out of the URS as it has no token. If denied, when 6J88 contacts me at 19:30, I still cannot get it a token to operate the GF, for whatever reason. Is the sim somehow thinking 6J88 is 2V12, or something? Any solution would be appreciated as at the moment 6J88 is a dead duck! Save attached (it uses my new TT but assume it would work without me uploading that?) Post has attachments. It's 6J88 that is requesting the token, because the head code of 2V12 is the only one present at Llandrindod the sim is generating the message based on that. I did reference in another thread (I can't find it just now) that you need to carefully keep on top of the head codes on the HOWL. Hmm. Problem is 2V12 really does need to be in that berth at that time as it has left Knighton. So the only solution is to delete 2V12 from berth before 6J88 calls up, and then put it back again afterwards? Seems odd as 6J88 only needs to use the UP platform not the DN one. EDIT: Or would inputting 6J88 into the UP platform resolve it? I will give that a go. Last edited: 02/03/2021 at 23:09 by NicholasN Reason: None given Log in to reply |

I think in that case I shall take a bit of artistic license and have the track machine seed at Llandovery Down Up end (the line was blocked to normal trains between there and Llanwrtyd that week) and it can run from there to Maindee. Makes it easier for future players of the TT.

See also Clive's post at the bottom, this looks like another instance of the same problem where a phonecall is generated based on a TD rather than a train's identity. AJP in games Log in to reply |
