Hi, I have recently been enjoying some of the free sims on here, and feel like I've mastered the basics. I'm considering buying a paid sim and had a little look at some of the options, but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for some medium-ish difficulty sims they enjoyed? Thanks! Hi Dan. Welcome to the forums. If you are looking for medium difficulty I would recommend Feltham, Any of the Rugby workstations, Staffordshire or Crewe.

FWIW the newly-refreshed Derby combined with the default 80s timetable is pretty varied, and can be b___dy hectic at times. Motherwell can also be a good handful if you enjoyed Carlisle. Log in to reply The following users said thank you: DanH14, sunocske |

Consider an area you know fairly well. That will help get past the initial frustrations. Also if you like varied older timetables, make sure there are some available.

Derby is quite a good one for this. A modern timetable to teach you the ropes, and an older timetable to try your hand at which requires quite a bit of planning and decision making to keep to time. The track layout is mostly simple, with a few little tricks here and there to learn.
