Cancelling a calling point 14/08/2020 at 16:12 #130644

Hello,
just a quick question.

How do I remove calling points on a train if it is running late.

E.g. if a train is running late, how do I cancel a station calling point so it runs fast to the next one on it's timetable.

I tried cancelling one before in the area by simply deleting the activity but the train still stopped there.

Many thanks if you can help.

If it's just the next station you want it to bypass, F2-> Right click train-> TT options-> Go non-stop through next station.

If you want to skip more, or one that isn't the next stop, F2-> Right click train-> TT Options-> Edit timetable. Select the location and tick the 'pass time' box. Do this for all the stops you want to skip, and click OK.

Hello,

Thank you for the prompt reply. Just to confirm, this works for trains, which are both in and out of the signalling area doesn't it?

If it hasn’t entered the sim yet, it will not show up in F2. However you can edit the TT for unentered trains via F4.

Editing via F2 will work if the train has entered the simulation (only trains which are in the simulation are shown on F2), it doesn't matter if the train is in your control area or not.

If it's a train that hasn't yet entered the simulation, then you can edit via the F4 timetable editor, however take care not to save the timetable (saving the simulation is fine) or the change will be there when you next run that timetable.

Hello again,

Once again, thank you very much for your prompt response. Just that before I was getting quite confused as I wasn't sure if I should select "Pass" or delete the activity altogether.

Thanks.

Another way in F2 and editing a live train's timetable is to go to its location list and set the next location. But that often bypasses wrong route checks, so should be used with care.
