Greetings all,

Hope you all had a good Easter.

I have just been experimenting on Three Bridges sim with a line closure that I am hoping to successfully build a timetable around. as part of the line closure in question Platforms 4 to 8 at Brighton find themselves not used due to the engineering works and the Up & Down Main and Down & Up East Branch lines are all closed!

When it comes to blocking off the exits from Lovers Walk I find that I can block exit L21 (Signal T1255, T/Cs TLWL & TBPL) ok but if I try and block exit L11 (Signal T1247, T/Cs TLWEF & TBPE) I find that blocking TLWEF also blocks exit L2 (Signal T1246) because that exit is also programmed as part of T/C TLWEF. That, however, is slightly annoying as I think I need to keep exit L2 open for at least 2 trains which exit the depot and then reverse at Preston Park. Trains exiting the depot into Brighton station are all using the West Carriage Road out of the depot.

Does T/C TLWEF cover L2 IRL as well (given the size of the depot I would be surprised) as L11 or is this a bug?

Dave

This picture shows that there are two TCs (yellow and blue, on the left under the red block depicting the shunters' cabin), but that they share a common piece of track, thus both cannot be used at once. That's why it was done that way in the sim.

However, I can see it's not helpful in your scenario so I've raised Mantis 36053 to have a think about how to do it better.

Cheers Geoff, and thanks for the link to the photo too: I didn't know it was laid out like that.
