Is it possible to upgrade the linespeeds between Bushbury and Stafford? They are 90MPH in the SIM, but in 2002(ish) they were upgraded for MU to 125MPH from just after Bushbury loop to Stafford. EPS (tilting) speeds came about 2 years later. On the UP they drop from 125 to 110 for MU/HST just after WN223 before the 60 at Bushbury. On the DOWN the speed goes up to 90MPH after Bushbury Junction then increases to 125 near WN224. Log in to reply |

Initially 390s couldn't run at the higher 125 speed and had to stick to 90 until they were passed as HST type vehicles a couple of years after the linespeed/signalling upgrade. 220/221s were designated as HST from the offset, so were permitted to run at 125.
