The RAIB report into this could make interesting reading. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-37839189 Dave Last edited: 02/11/2016 at 06:41 by Peter Bennet Reason: split Log in to reply |

At this stage we do not even know whether there will be any RAIB report depending on the accuracy of press accounts. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 02/11/2016 at 06:42 by Peter Bennet Reason: split Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Temple Meads |

Even the Stornoway Gazette has the story! http://www.stornowaygazette.co.uk/news/crosscountry-train-carrying-209-passengers-splits-in-two-1-4274636 Spokesman is quoted as referring to "power car", so picture maybe misleading. http://www.itv.com/news/westcountry/2016-11-01/train-carrying-more-than-200-passengers-splits-in-two-just-outside-bristol/ The 1.30pm CrossCountry departure from Bristol Temple Meads to Glasgow on Monday October 31 came to a stand shortly after leaving the station after the leading powercar became separated from the rest of the train. The incident happened at low speed and the onboard safety systems stopped the train immediately. All 209 customers onboard were safely taken off the train and able to continue their journeys after it was moved back into the station. An investigation is currently ongoing into the cause of the incident, although at this stage there is nothing to suggest a similar problem is likely to occur on any other train of this type. – SPOKESMAN FOR CROSSCOUNTRY" Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! I'm pretty sure that there will be a RAIB investigation into this, judging by the severity of the incident, the potential severity of the incident as well as how it could've happened, I'll be following this one.
