Now i know that livst is an old sim but when i try to send 5O00 from signal 54 to platform 4 with nothing in the way the computer comes up with route is blocked etc then it says P2010d. What does this mean? Thanks Log in to reply |

I think you can reproduce the problem if you lock the first set of points right after signal 54 reverse (i.e. right-click on them), and then try to set the route from signal 54 to P4. If, as you say, everything else is clear, make sure you haven't accidentally locked that set of points (indicated by a little yellow box around it) in the wrong direction. Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. Log in to reply |

Okay, in that case the overlap (that little white patch extending towards the platforms) is apparently approach locked. That means that once the train occupies the track circuit just in front of signal 54, you can't move the points in the overlap any more. However, after approximately 30 to 60 seconds, the approach locking times out, so you should then be able to set the route. Just remember next time to set the route a little earlier if possible.

Have you cancelled the route from the automatic signal behind the train? The overlap extends from the route set from said automatic signal. If you cancel that route, the overlap *may* drop out.

Yes, but the time out should work anyway. The only difference is that with the route in rear (from 64 to 54) set, you don't get any visual indication when you can move the points again.
