OK. thanks to those peeps who replied to my help request for splitting a video! Here are the links to the two parts to this Open University feature from (I believe) about 1989ish.
Quite an interesting watch for anyone interested in signalling.

Quite surprised no-one has responded yet but I've just watched this video in...errr...reverse order...and it's a fantastic video Really very interesting to watch, something for everyone - the trains (InterCity HSTs with tones and clag) and the signalling too.

Thanks so much for sharing.
