Apart from the crossover at Willesden North Jn I've found another place with seemingly strange speed limits - the Up Fast at Camden Jn. Trains are slowing down to 30 mph for track circuit TESC, and then, if they're routed towards line 'D', down to 25 mph on track ciruit TESB. Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. I've had reports and replicated myself some odd speed limits on the the latest test build of South Humberside as well with trains apparently slowing for what appears to be no reason. I thought it may be some incorrectly structured PSR's which South Humberside does use in places but now someone else on a completely diffirent sim has mentioned it, so I am wondering if there is more to this? I'll take it up with Geoff when I speak to him next. Log in to reply |

Corrected to 25 over 50, both tracks.

Developers should note that the debug pane includes the ability to show tracks with specific ranges of speed limit, so playing with that can show you things set wrong.

" said:Apart from the crossover at Willesden North Jn...It seems this didn't get picked up (it wasn't on Geoff's list of issues in another thread!), so I'll copy it across: " said: Willesden North Junction: The 2009 Sectional Appendix shows it as a double-tracked crossover at 15 mph, while from the 2012 edition onwards it is shown it as a single lead junction at 30 mph. In the sim, it is depicted with single lead crossovers, however only at 15 mph. Was there some intermediate period between 2009 and 2012 where despite the new layout only a reduced speed was permitted, or is this a data error? At the risk of being nitpicky B), here's another one: Shouldn't Wembley Yard North Departure allow 25 mph (curiously enough apparently including the crossover to the North Arrival)?

Note that it's only 10mph within the yard so it only makes a couple of seconds difference by the time the rear end has made its way out! Fixed.
