Another issue I just found was trying to attach shunt loco PFPT to 7H14 at Peak Forest (1987 TT). Shunt signal PF32 would not clear towards 7H14 standing on the Down line, forcing me to talk PFPT past PF45 and PF32 signals.

Phil.
If you clicked on the "Notes" button in the timetable window...

Not many people use it to be fair. I do for one or two trains that need special handling.

Another one. Norbury MWL is Norbury Hollow. Tbf I'm not sure what its officially called but thats whats on the boxes nameboard.

Also its down stop signal and distant are semaphore not colour light.

As far as I'm aware the "gates closed" indicator only illuminates for up trains as its really a slot indicator for hazel groves IBS signal only.

The single line from northenden to hazel grove is Slotted I think as well but i dont know who controls it. Ive messaged someone who works the areas S&T to check.

According to the Sectional Appendix the LC is indeed Norbury Hollow. Mantis 18898 for that and the signals.

According to photos.signalling.org there is a slot control for the Northenden line. It's "signal" 27 on the Hazel Grove panel. Mantis 18899 for the slot.

When requesting permission to send a train to Tunstead Sidings, the PIC tells the signaller to wait for the slot to be illuminated. However, I've yet to locate any slot indicator that exists to be illuminated! The relevant signals also behave as if a slot exists (GR6/11/18).

This was raised on Mantis by someone else. The developer replied thusly:

Quote:
It IS a phone call to the shunter, however because of workings behind the scene if a train enters without authority it will screw up the workings. Hence for the benefit of making the sim work with locking up I've added locking on the signal
There isn't a slot indicator, but you should get a message saying that the slot has been given. I don't think that it's possible to rewrite the phone message so that it doesn't mention indicators.

I know they'll be ready when they're ready but any idea of timescale on the updates to cure these unfortunate glitches. Just taking the gilt of an otherwise very, very, enjoyable sim.

The updated version has been sent to the testers with the aim of sending it to Geoff for release overnight on the 25th or 26th December. This is due to me working night shifts on those two nights prior to having a week & half off of work during which time my own xmas celebrations will be taking "hic" place!

One word of thanks must be mentioned on here though, to Kev (KymriskaDraken) who not only has done a huge amount of testing (and breaking) but has been answering everyone's queries and issues on here before I even get a look in, leaving me free to get on with actually sorting the issues out. Many thanks Kev!

I emailed the update to Geoff just before Xmas and he was going to deal with it along with a couple of others. Unfortunately I can’t tell if the update has been pushed ourt yet as I am already on the newer version

I would say be patient Andy. While everyone is different, most people put families first at this time of year so I'm happy to wait until the festive season is over for any forthcoming update.

Happy New Year,

Phil.

I have a feeling that the updates to the timetables have been pushed, but not the sim itself. There's an outstanding bug on mantis (19015) that you could fix and then send the sim to Geoff again :)

Ah yes. Much better!
On a different matter, in the 2017 wtt, I have 6M97 arrived at Buxton Relief sidings. It is now to wait until 0125 and then propel to the Briggs GF. Is that what happens IRL? Or should the loco run round?
