Why Shrewsbury and Hereford do not have mechanical symbols on some signals as IRL? For example at NE Scotland sim are. I just saw cabview from Shrewsbury to Cardif (2022) and here are a lot of mechanical signals. I am just suprised that in sims are light signals.

It was an early decision by the developer of those sims to draw them as colour lights. However, those representing semaphores do behave the same as the mechanical signalling (i.e. red/green only for stop signals)

Thank you for reply.
I understand that it is only graphic. Working stay same.
Is it possible change/update it to mechanical? It would be nice see where are mechanical signals and where are light signals.

It's certainly possible but, at present, it's a significant piece of work. It's up to the sim author whether to make the effort. I'll put making this easier for developers on my task list.

From discussions at the time, the main issue was screen design for Shrewsbury station, and compare with say Larbert and Stirling on CSCOT rather than the smaller boxes on NESCOT.

Fitting all the arms present at Shrewsbury, and the newer AB controls, would be difficult and potentially quite messy within screen height.
Showing one arm instead of one lamp, when there's really 2 or 3 arms, would have been a significant compromise in itself.

Having chosen 'all as lamps' for Shrewsbury, showing the simpler boxes arms as lamps maintained consistency in-sim.
