There is the possibility of an organised visit to one of the three signalboxes listed in the poll on the Sunday after the Derby meet. Only one box will be visited. If you are intending to go to the meet and are free on Sunday morning after, please read the descriptions below and then vote for which you'd prefer. Derby (located near Derby station): Only a year or two left for this box which will be history once the East Midlands Control Centre takes over. 1960s vintage NX panel. Sheffield (located near Sheffield station): See the real thing after having played Kurt's SimSig Sheffield! I'm told it's only £7 return from Derby and it won't take long to get there. Quite a modern NX panel. East Midlands Control Centre (located near Derby station): Only partially occupied at present so there isn't too much to see. A few Westcad workstations slowly taking over what Trent controls with more of the East Midlands in the future. SimSig Boss Log in to reply |
