I was playing quite happily on the default timetable (Brighton's quite empty because of a points failure at an irritating place elsewhere in the scenario), and routed 2F88 (due into Brighton plat 3 at 20:14) into the platform, and intended to route its joining train, 5A55, right behind it (due in at 20:43). However, 2F88 has decided that it wants to stop and wait for the joining train on the junction (in a place that would prevent me from even routeing the joining train into it on the junction):

Shunt forwards does nothing. I'm guessing I'd have to abandon the join/the timetable, shunt him forwards, then reestablish the timetable?

You've answered your own question there.

Be aware that the direction of 2F88 may need to be reversed - make sure it's the same as 5A55, and it should move forward in to P3 without too much hassle.

2F88's timetable needs to be adjusted to "Near End Exact" and he should run to the buffers.

"Far End Exact" (FX in the TT editor) to stop at the buffers, no?

I have just completed the Brighton 15th October 2009 v1.4 timetable, making notes on any problems as I go. Below is what I think is a complete list of those trains in the timetable that need to have "Far end exact" added to their stopping position at Brighton. Most of these problems have already been discussed in separate posts on this forum, but I thought it might be useful to pull this information together.

2S42 (Entry time 00.08 and 24.08)
5F31 (Entry time 00.27 and 24.07)
2F88 (Entry time 19.58)
2D40 (Entry time 21.28)
2F12 (Entry time 23.40)
2D44 (Entry time 23.29)

Also the entry length of 5H58 (Entry times 00.20 and 24.20) is incorrect.
It should be changed to 4/377 = 82m in order to join correctly with 2S42 above.

Hope this list helps.
