Hello I am now currently living in Trowbridge with my partner and understand how difficult it can be for people from the west country to get to one of these meets in a day and would like to know if anyone would be interested in attending a meet. I would have to ask for help with hiring the hall and help with nibbles as I am on benefits and can't afford to outlay the whole cost. Not sure how much this would cost but I can't see it costing more than £10 per person for a 6 hour meet, the room hire costs £75 but it depends on how many people wish to set there place. The meet I am looking at is in North Bradley Village Hall, Trowbridge, there is a hourly bus service from Trowbridge Railway station to The Rising Sun pub which is 5 mins walk. Please let me know if anyone wishes to come so I know if this is going to be a worth while meet

I'd be well up for this as I now live nearby. Regarding Trowbridge the Wetherspoons might let you have a table to yourself, like the Knights Templar did in Bristol. Either way if you did got for North Bradley I'd be happy to chip in for the room money.

Louise Trowbridge is a bit far off my usual beaten track, but a quick search suggests that the Crown in Timbrell Street looks to be within walking distance of the station, has a function room available for free hire and has proper beer if you get any of the anti-smooth brigade attending. One thing I forgot to mention this hall has internet access which I belive is included in the room hire so people can surf the web while at the meet. Also the roon is capable of holding approxmatily 45 people with laptops around table plus others seated as well My Fiancee Kate has lived in Trowbridge and says the Crown is probably going to be a little bit too small and I know myself is one hell of a trek from the station it would be easier to walk to North Bradley from the station (less hills) I am also going to go down and see the local church tomorrow as I am a christian and worship there and see if they will allow me to hire the church all which is almost LITERALLY a human stones throw from the station. But to conclude for value and facilites I would say the North Bradley Village Hall is going to be the better value from face value but will let you know tomorrow what I find out.
